35/365: We’ve been driving all day to get to Châtel – which is right behind the Swiss border in the French alps. The flag in this photo grabbed my attention and I took a quick snap from the car. I think the photo turned out ok, and it quite nicely sums up our day and the scenery we’ve seen along the way.
34/365: Travel photo gear. We’re busy packing for our short trip to the French alps. This is the photo gear I’m taking. I love this kit and how compact it is. It pretty much all fits into the SnapR bag. Here’s what’s included in detail:
33/365: I was coming around a corner, when the guy on the right just got out of the supermarket, re-joining his two co-workers that have been waiting for him. They started walking my way for 200 meters or so. And that’s when I made this photo.
32/365: Another cozy sunday at home. And as almost everyday, we made one or two coffees using the awesome AeroPress, which was a birthday present from Tim. Thanks, Tim!
31/365. Spent the day with Andre and Nicole, walking through Düsseldorf, taking photos and visiting a few galleries that are part of the Düsseldorf Photo Weekend 2015. Pictured is the “Tôhoku” exhibition by photographer Hans-Christian Schink. Other favourites were the “Dahinter steckt immer ein kluger Kopf”-series by Alfred Seiland and Gabriele Croppi’s „New York, Metaphysics of the Urban Landscape” photographs at gallery Clara Maria Sels.
30/365. Caught up with Jan, who I haven’t seen since our wedding in September. We met at his house and spend the evening talking, having a few beers (a Landbier from Bavaria, to be precise) and listening to metal. Well, until his 2-year-old daughter Ida was heard on the baby-phone. She couldn’t sleep anymore, and so she was allowed to join us. Jan put on some Mickey Mouse for her to watch, very much to her liking. Somehow we more and more joined in watching TV and we ended up going through old episodes of He-Man and The Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles. Ahhh, good one!
