The Crown: Back from the grave (via couch8085)
The Crown are back from the grave.
I’m very pleased, because it’s one of my favorite bands: killer riffs, killer drumming, awesome voice… especially on this album!
Check it out - if you dare!

Grand Magus: probably the band-discovery of the year. So great.
Priestess: another good band discovery this year.
Havoc: Thrash!!!
And of course, the latest Mastodon album rocks!
Tesseract: Another good one!
I’m having a Dan Swanö-phase. And Edge of Sanity’s “Purgatory Afterglow” is just so good.
I rarely enjoy super show-off-y type guitar players. But I’ll make an exception for Paul Gilbert. He’s amazing. Especially his instrumental albums.
This track is from the latest one, and I can also highly recommend “Fuzz Universe”.
Watain – Malfeitor. Great song, with an amazing melody at the end.
The new The Crown album is out. Little surprise: Marko Tervonen also on drums, in addition to guitar.
Meshuggah – Bleed. Unbelievable.
Meshuggah – Do Not Look Down. The snare drum is your only hope.
…and of course can they perform this live. What was I thinking?
Spiritual Beggars – Look Back. What a beautiful melody and solo in the middle. Michael Amott just has a hand1 for this.
and foot – you know, the Wah-Wah pedal. ↩︎
The new Psycroptic rocks!
