So big that we have to roll it out over two whole days, in fact. It’s a brand new set of tools for making posts. It’s clean, it’s powerful, and if you don’t have it yet, you’ll have it soon.

Why We (Still) Believe in Working Remotely « Blog – Stack Exchange

Nothing to disagree with in this article. And the following is indeed crazy:

#1a: You don’t lose people to silly things like their significant other going to medical school. Before I worked at Stack Exchange, I worked at Fog Creek. I watched at least five great people leave because their family situation made it necessary to move, and Fog Creek had (at the time) a strict no-remote-workers policy. This drove me crazy. These were amazing employees, in whom the company had already invested deeply, who were now walking out the door because they couldn’t live in New York any more.

How I Built a Startup While Traveling to 20 Countries

Fascinating report by Jay Meistrich:

It’s never been easier to live and work as a nomad. Traveling is cheaper, more productive, and more inspiring than staying at home. Working in an office is a relic of the past.
